Sunday, Sept 19, 2021 -Hamas spokesman Hazem Qassem saluted the heroes of the Freedom Tunnel in Gilboa jail, who demonstrated the ability of the Palestinians to resist the occupation in all circumstances and with all tools available, stated today. 

"Although the Freedom Tunnel heroes have been recaptured, this jail breakout will remain irrefutable evidence of the fragility of the Zionist security system and its failure to withstand the will of the Palestinian fighter," Qassem said in a press statement this morning.

"What the six prisoners did was a great heroism, a great jihad, and a great achievement that will be recorded in bold in the record of the jihad and struggle of our Palestinian people," He added.

He stressed that the Al-Qassam Brigades will fulfill their promise that the six heroes of the Freedom Tunnel will be at the head of the prisoners’ swap deal, that they will be released with their heads held high, and that the jailer himself will open the doors of their cells.

He stressed that working day and night to liberate the prisoners from the occupation jails will remain a top priority for the resistance factions.
